Fuego Mundo – First In Georgia!
First Small Business in Georgia to Benefit from SBA Stimulus Changes
ATLANTA- April 27, 2009- The Fuego Mundo Wood-Fire Grill announced today that they are the first small business in the state of Georgia to receive a Small Business Administration guaranteed loan with a 90% guarantee and no guaranty fees. The SBA implemented these changes on March 16, 2009.
“We were already excited at the prospect of starting this new business,” said Masha Hleap-Hershkovitz, the owner. “But now that we have the benefit of this program to strengthen our business, we are wildly optimistic at the prospect of success!”
Terri Denison, District Director, Georgia District Office, SBA, said, “With the higher guarantee, the lender risk was reduced. The elimination of the guarantee fees saved the borrower thousands of dollars that are now available for operating this new business venture. The bank loan and SBA guarantee were approved in a matter of hours.”
Hleap continued, “We are so grateful for the support of the SBA and Signature Bank, which helped make this happen. Now, we are charging forward towards our targeted Grand Opening date of May 22nd.”
Hleap, raised in Atlanta but born in Columbia, South America, broke ground on the new restaurant just weeks ago. Fuego Mundo, a South American Wood-Fire Grill, will be a fast casual restaurant in northern Atlanta that will serve value-driven and health-conscious meals, with the unique and explosive flavors of South America on the Wood-Fire Grill.
Fuego Mundo is located in The Prado at 5590 Roswell Road, Suite 120, Sandy Springs. To see a sneak peak of construction and join the mailing list, visit www.pre.fuegomundo.com.
